The Simunye is an exclusive and unique lodge, a declared Natural Heritage Site in the heart of Zululand. The turn off is located between Eshowe (30km-18.6 miles) away) and Melmoth (20km-12.4 miles away), situated at the bottom of a cliff on the banks of the Mfuli River.
There are a wide variety of breakaway areas ranging from thatched wooden decks set into the tree tops with the river below, to secluded waterfalls and a comfortably appointed cave in the cliff face. The departure point is the Trading Store (leaving at 3:30pm). From here, your journey is by Horse, Donkey cart or Ox cart.
