Newcastle Inn is situated in on the outskirts of Newcastle, in a scene ranging from bustling city to untamed wilderness of lush subtropical vegetation, maize and dairy farms. Newcastle has the largest concentration of industry in north western KwaZulu-Natal.
Newcastle, named after the British Colonial Secretary - the Duke of Newcastle, was founded in 1864. The fourth town established in Natal after Durban, Weenen and Pietermaritzburg.
